Emotions are abstract. Students develop awareness about positive and negative emotions that go beyond the surface. Positive emotions besides happiness such as confidence and self-worth are important in overcoming challenges, setbacks and failures. Negative emotions such as anger, fear and jealousy are discussed from the perspective of how the self and others are affected.

Each lesson promotes a high level of self-awareness, social awareness, as well as resilience towards positive self-management and good relationships. Topics focus on daily life experiences and challenges of students.
