Why ESI KIDS?
ESI KIDS was developed by Pamela Seagal, who developed the Programme not just as a solid foundation in the English language for students, but also to build the learners’ emotional and social literacy. She recognised that there are many programs, sessions, toys, and other products available that focus on the cognitive development of the child, but few or none that equip the child linguistically, socially, and emotionally. ESI is the answer to that lack.
ESI KIDS complements the social emotional curriculum benchmarks and standards set by the Primary Education Review and Implementation Committee (PERI), in alignment with The Ministry of Education (MOE). Social and Emotional Education (SEL) involves engagement in the 21st Century Core Values of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management, and responsible decision making, meeting the ‘unmet need’ of nurturing a strong foundation in social and emotional competencies, which ESI KIDS does through the academic subject of the English Language.
